 Wiang Kum KamJust 10 minutes from home, Wiang Kum Kam is the site of the original city settlement of what is now Chiang Mai (which literally means 'new city'). The ruins are free to see, with the operation there being refreshingly low-key. There is an open bus tour with commentary, however only in Thai! There is also the option to hire a bicycle, or take a pony and trap for a modest fee. |
